5 – 7 MAY Cairns Expo – Cairns Showgrounds
This is for your 4×4, boat, fishing and adventure lovers (like most locals).
13 MAY– Red Hot Summer Festival – Cairns Showgrounds
Headlining Missy Higgins, Paul Kelly and Bernard Fanning.
17 – 21 MAY Crankworx (mountain bikes) Smithfield MTB park
Mountain Bike Tour Party.
19 – 21 MAY Port Douglas Carnivale Wonderland Spiegel tent – Dixie Park, Dixie Street, Port Douglas
Wonderful shows and fun shows in the Spiegel tent. Port Douglas will be alive with family activities, food and drink tastings and live music.
23 – 27 MAY Riddoch Insurance Port Douglas Race Week – Yacht race Port Douglas, mostly located on Four Mile Beach
A huge Yacht race around some of our most beautiful Islands.
24 – 26 MAY Rotary Field Days – Atherton Tablelands Mareeba Rodeo

A charity event showcasing tractors amongst other stalls and market items.
25 – 28 MAY Great Barrier Reef Masters Games – Cairns at different locations
Sports, sports and more sports. Many games, much to see from Volleyball, baseball, and cricket.
